It was a fabulous weekend in Ohio (77 and sunny!) and we are currently kicking Monday morning off with some pretty insane wind and rain. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted 🙂
I got a lovely sunshine-y surprise this morning. I love the quizzes that go around on Buzzfeed and other websites, so this morning when one popped up on the “Color of Your Aura” I decided to take a few minutes to see what mine is.
Ta-da! Let’s break this down now: First, I was super happy that I got a bright color. I love anything bright and cheery, so it basically made my day. Can you tell it doesn’t take much to make me happy? Second, I try try try my hardest to always be a positive encouragement for others. In the world we live in today, I don’t want to add my silly nonsense into the mix. Also, I believe in the good of others. Third, this is a healthy living blog – health and a positive attitude go together in my opinion. Fourth, I am the queen of over-analyzing situations, even after they’ve passed…something I could improve upon, but they quiz is right – I just want to help others be as happy as possible. It’s hard, because you can’t be responsible for someone else’s happiness, but I think you should do everything in your power to lift them up and help!
Whew – what a rant! What color is YOUR aura? Find out HERE. (And yes, I know this is a silly internet quiz…play along if you wish!)
I do want to give a shout out to my amazing parents because they are the reason I look at the world with such a positive outlook. My mom had a quote hanging on our pantry door that she wrote out at some point that was about how one small act of kindness or happiness causes the ripple effect, until our world is a happy, kind place. I’m actually tearing up thinking about it, because it wasn’t something she said, but how she acted. The quote just hung there over the course of my childhood, but to this day I will never forget the importance of one person because of it.
Sticking with the theme of encouraging others, yourself, and living positively, here are some quotes to kick off the week!
Thank you all for sticking with me! My posts will continue to be sporadic until my Certified Health Education Specialist exam at the end of April, because most evening time I will be spending studying instead of blogging. The finish line is in sight and I’m trying to stay focused on the top priorities!
Have a healthy day! What will you do to bring a smile to someone’s face today?
