Happy Friday! Does anyone have any fun weekend plans?!
Today started off with a quick meeting at work, followed by teaching a Zumba Gold class. Because of the snow and slippery road conditions, only one participant made it to our class and was so excited to get some one-on-one time! We were able to break down some of the choreography to songs she loved, but was having trouble catching onto the steps. I love being an instructor – watching your participants succeed is one of the best feelings
I did some other work items before hitting up the treadmill for a workout of my own. I’m a little behind on marathon training days this week, but have it figured out so I can still get those miles in! I modified an interval workout (via CHAARG) to include higher speeds and some hillwork. I was a hot, sweaty mess at the end, finishing just over 4 miles.
As promised, for the first “Fitness Friday” on the blog, here is the circuit workout Steph and I did in our cycle bootcamp class yesterday. If you are unfamiliar with some of the moves, please comment with what move you’d like to see and I will find an appropriate YouTube video for you! We did 20 minutes of cycling before moving onto this circuit:
